We believe that all Australians have a role to play in achieving a just Australia in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' rights as First Peoples are recognized, respected and enjoyed. We labor in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organizations. We seek to educate the broader community about justice, rights and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We labor closely with members, State and Territory ANT abs, and our Campaigns and Advocacy Council. We labor in a way that is accountable and transparent, and have a systematic commitment to monitor and evaluate our work against stated outcomes and conducting impact evaluation of our work. ANT AR persuades governments, through advocacy and lobbying, to show genuine leadership and construct cranky party commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy issues. Bill has also held considerable other academic and government positions, and has received many awards, including the Order of Australia (AM) in 1993. David is currently the Director of the Central Land Council, based in Alice Springs. He has played a central role in a number of national campaigns for Beginning Peoples’ rights including Close the Gap, constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and an emerging national campaign to address the tall incarceration rates of Aboriginal people. This includes maintaining accessible liaison with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaderships and communities and assisting them to communicate their aspirations and concerns to the wider community conducting national education and awareness campaigns on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs issues, as healthy as training, advice and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders.
